Education Matters in Eastern Oregon

Education in Eastern Oregon is focused on helping children thrive mentally, emotionally and physically. The school system encompasses K-12 and hosts a variety of opportunities for growth. The educators have a sincere interest in the needs of each student and are passionate about growing the next generation into well-rounded, intelligent leaders. 

Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative supports regional education by offering scholarships, trade school scholarships, and leadership opportunities sophomores and juniors. The organization also supports the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program in Baker, Grant, Harney and Union Counties where children 5 and under are able to sign up to receive free books every month. These tools provide easier access to educational opportunities, encourage parents to involve their children in educational programs and foster a love for reading and writing.
