Endless Recreational Opportunities Await You in Eastern Oregon

The recreational opportunities in Eastern Oregon are endless. Golf is a popular activity for many residents. Eastern Oregon is home to seven golf courses. Grant County alone has three popular golf courses, one located in John Day, one in Seneca and one in Dayville. Baker City boasts the Quail Ridge Golf Course. The Buffalo Peak golf course and La Grande Country Club are located in Union. Harney County has the Valley Golf Club in Hines. It is easy to find a place to spend a day on the greens in the region.

Another popular pastime in Eastern Oregon is playing sports. A first-rate sports complex with four baseball fields, two softball fields, three soccer fields and a running trail is located in John Day. Some of the track and football fields in the region are open to the public year-round, and there are four large community pools, including the Veterans Memorial Pool and Cove in La Grande.
