Small Business

The small business ecosystem in Eastern Oregon is supportive, collaborative and ideal for starting or expanding a business. Community members are highly supportive of new small businesses and welcoming of entrepreneurs and professionals moving from nearby Boise, Bend, Portland and other cities.

A major incentive for small business owners is the low cost of living and low cost of doing business, when compared to nearby Boise and other major cities. With housing and overhead costs being lower, it takes less capital to start or operate a growing business, leaving more money to fund operations.

Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative provides assistance and information to business owners through our economic development team. In addition, business owners are invited to contact the organizations below for hands-on assistance and support.
